I am licensed as a psychologist in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland and recognized by the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. I utilize several therapeutic modalities in my practice including cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and psychodynamic techniques. My approach is always collaborative, respectful, and holistic.
I received my bachelor’s degree in biology from John Carroll University, and a master’s degree in psychology and doctoral degree in counseling psychology from The University of Akron.
My supervised clinical training began in 1995 and includes work at The University of Akron, Baldwin-Wallace College, the University of Maryland, Georgetown University, and in private practice.
I have published empirical research in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Counseling Psychology, Journal of Counseling & Development, Journal of Vocational Development, and Psychology of Men and Masculinity. I serve on the editorial board of the Journal of Career Development and as an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Counseling Psychology.
